The Bench Mark

This is a cob bench made with tires and concrete rubble as the foundation and a lime plaster finish coat using natural earth pigments for color. All the rest of the materials are also reclaimed. It's located at a public park at Mapleton Mobile Homes. This was created as an action day. For the bulk of the building we invited the local neighborhood out to join me, we had food, a DJ, and an educational session. Boulder Permaculture Course sponsored the bench and came out as well. It was raining all day but we still had over 70 people show up. This is a monument to reclaim the wildness in our cities and a help unite neighborhoods to occupy there public spaces and work together.
